Legislative elections to elect the House of Representatives of Morocco are scheduled to take place on September 23, 2026. This market will resolve to the next individual who assumes the office of Prime Minister (Head of Government) of Morocco, and whose government wins investiture from the House of Representatives in a vote of confidence, following the 2026 Moroccan legislative elections. To count for resolution, the government led by the individual must win investiture from the House of Representatives in a vote of confidence. Any interim, caretaker, or non-invested Prime Minister will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Prime Minister takes office by July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Morocco; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The upcoming September 23 legislative elections have kept the market for Morocco’s next prime minister tightly contested, with traders pricing Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri highest on the strength of PAM’s positioning while assigning lower but non-negligible probabilities to RNI’s Mohamed Chaouki and Istiqlal’s Nizar Baraka. The three-party governing coalition’s internal strains, Akhannouch’s decision not to seek another term as RNI leader, and Fouzi Lekjaa’s mid-year move to PAM have introduced uncertainty over which party will finish first and therefore supply the head of government under Article 47. Campaign focus on purchasing power, employment, and territorial cohesion, combined with modest polling leads for the main lists and variable youth turnout, has prevented any single contender from pulling decisively ahead in trader assessments. Late shifts in seat projections or coalition signals before the vote could still widen the implied probabilities.
