DeVonta Smith enters the 2026 NFL season as the Philadelphia Eagles’ clear No. 1 wide receiver after A.J. Brown’s offseason trade to New England, creating a substantial increase in expected targets from his prior 113 in 2025. The 27-year-old posted 1,008 yards on 77 receptions last year despite sharing the room, and analysts project a career-high workload under new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion, though the team’s run-heavy identity and additions like rookie Makai Lemon plus free-agent receivers may cap overall passing volume. A training-camp hamstring issue sidelined Smith for most of the preseason, but he returned to full participation by late August and has drawn praise for leadership in the revamped receiver group. Market pricing reflects consensus around a modest uptick from his recent averages, with upside tied to health, efficiency in the red zone, and how quickly the offense adapts.
