The tightly bunched probabilities around 48-50% for Strasbourg, Lorient, Le Havre, Brest, Lens, Lyon and several others reflect an unusually open race for second place behind PSG. Early 2026-27 results have seen Lille, Monaco and Rennes collect the most points while PSG sits near the bottom after a slow start, preventing any single club from separating itself. Pre-season models already highlighted a deep group of contenders with solid squads, attacking options and varying European commitments, and the first few matchdays have reinforced that parity through mixed results and goal-scoring trends. With 30 rounds remaining, squad depth, fixture congestion and potential mid-season adjustments keep implied probabilities clustered as traders price in realistic paths for multiple sides to finish as the top non-PSG team.
