The resolution source will be official information from the Liga Nacional (Guatemala); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The Apertura 2026 campaign in Guatemala’s Liga Nacional remains wide open after roughly 10 rounds, with Antigua GFC, Municipal, Guastatoya, and San Pedro separated by only a handful of points atop the table. Traditional powers Comunicaciones, Xelajú MC, and Cobán Imperial sit mid-pack yet retain the squad depth and historical pedigree to mount late surges, while Mixco, Marquense, Aurora, and Malacateco have shown enough consistency in recent fixtures to stay mathematically alive. Balanced goal differences, frequent draws among contenders, and the absence of a runaway leader have produced a compressed standings picture that leaves nearly every club with a realistic path to the runner-up position depending on the final stretch and playoff qualification outcomes.
