**Trader consensus clusters tightly around 76-82% turnout for New Zealand’s 7 November 2026 general election, reflecting a competitive contest and mixed enrollment signals.** Recent polls show the major party blocs separated by narrow margins, a dynamic that historically lifts participation as voters perceive higher stakes. Enrollment stands near 89% overall, supported by Electoral Commission outreach, packs mailed in August, and advance voting from 26 October, yet youth enrollment remains low at around 57% despite targeted rangatahi campaigns. Recent rule changes ending same-day enrollment and restricting certain activities near polling places introduce modest downward pressure, while the absence of major scandals or weather disruptions keeps baseline participation stable. These offsetting forces—close electoral math versus uneven enrollment trends—explain why no single band has pulled decisively ahead.
