Latest National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance points to a minimum temperature near 58°F overnight into September 22, driven by the persistent marine layer and onshore flow from the cool Pacific. San Francisco’s coastal setting typically keeps September lows in the mid-to-upper 50s, with historical averages around 56°F for the date; current conditions show no strong offshore warming or clear-sky radiative cooling to push readings lower. Trader consensus in the 58-59°F bin reflects this forecast stability, though minor shifts in fog timing or wind strength could nudge the observed low into adjacent ranges before resolution.
