Incumbent Republican María Elvira Salazar holds a commanding position in Florida’s 27th Congressional District ahead of the November 3 general election, reflecting the seat’s Republican tilt and her established record. Salazar secured her party’s nomination with more than 81 percent in the August 18 primary, while Democrat Eliott Rodriguez advanced with a narrow primary victory. Multiple nonpartisan forecasters rate the race Likely Republican. Salazar maintains a substantial fundraising edge and has collected recent endorsements from the South Florida Council of Firefighters and several law-enforcement organizations. Rodriguez, a former local television anchor, has accepted debate invitations and highlights name recognition in the heavily Hispanic district, yet trader pricing aligns with the structural and resource advantages favoring the incumbent.
