Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” dominates the 2026 VMA Best Country market at 84.5% implied probability due to its record-shattering commercial run, including the longest non-holiday Billboard Hot 100 reign by a country track, plus strong precursor momentum from ACM wins and a leading nine CMA nominations. The self-directed video’s cinematic storytelling and high-profile cameos have bolstered its profile ahead of the September 27 ceremony, where the category features seven nominees. Traders view the song’s cross-genre chart dominance and industry narrative as decisive, with competitors like Tucker Wetmore’s “Brunette” (37%) and Luke Combs’ “Back in the Saddle” (25%) trailing significantly despite solid country radio support. Late voting or surprise momentum shifts remain possible but appear unlikely given the current consensus.
