Official observations from Miami weather stations on September 16 confirmed a daily high of 90–91°F, aligning with National Weather Service data and driving the market’s near-certain consensus on that bin. Persistent high pressure, light winds, and above-average sea-surface temperatures along the southeast Florida coast supported daytime heating consistent with late-summer climatology, while model guidance issued in the preceding 48 hours showed tight agreement on peak readings. Resolution hinges on verified station maxima rather than forecasts, leaving minimal room for revision unless post-event quality-control adjustments alter the official record.
