The primary resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting.**Recent U.S.-Iran negotiations, centered on the June 2026 Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, form the core driver of market positioning on whether Iran will agree to surrender its enriched uranium stockpile by specific deadlines.** The MOU commits both sides to resolve the disposition of stockpiled enriched material, specifying down-blending on site under IAEA supervision as the minimum methodology, while deferring fuller details—including potential removal or stricter limits—to a final deal within a 60-day (extendable) window. Iran has reaffirmed its NPT pledge against nuclear weapons but continues to assert its right to enrichment, and the interim status quo maintains existing stockpiles pending verification. Post-2025 strikes, IAEA access to damaged sites and accurate stockpile accounting remain key hurdles, with technical talks addressing implementation alongside sanctions relief and regional issues. These elements sustain uncertainty around timelines for any binding commitment to full surrender versus dilution or retention in Iran.
