This market will resolve according to the total number of valid votes cast in the 2026 midterm election for Governor of Pennsylvania. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the results of the specified election are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket. All votes certified for candidates or non-candidate options in the specified election are included. Invalidated or blank votes are not included. In ranked-choice or preferential systems, the first-round vote total will be used. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official results of the 2026 midterm election for Governor of Pennsylvania, as published by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**Pennsylvania's 2026 gubernatorial turnout market centers on the 4.5M–5.5M vote range because the November 3 contest occurs in a low-competition environment compared with prior cycles.** Incumbent Democrat Josh Shapiro holds a consistent 15–20+ point lead over Republican Stacy Garrity in recent polling, producing a “Safe Democratic” rating from multiple forecasters and reducing the urgency that typically drives higher participation. The 2022 gubernatorial election produced roughly 5.37 million total votes amid a more contested race; the current lopsided matchup, combined with an uncontested May primary that saw only about 1.12 million Democratic and 640,000 Republican ballots, points toward subdued mobilization. Concurrent congressional and state legislative races provide some countervailing pull, while voter registration near 9.2 million and historical midterm patterns support totals clustered around or modestly below the 2022 benchmark. Traders have priced the leading bins to reflect this balance of structural and campaign dynamics.
