Bernard Drainville, the incumbent Coalition avenir Québec MNA for Lévis, holds the leading position in trader pricing ahead of the October 5 provincial election, though projections show a near toss-up with Conservateur du Québec candidate Karine Laflamme. Local priorities including the stalled third link bridge project, east-west transit options, housing pressures, and economic growth in the Chaudière-Appalaches region have narrowed the gap from Drainville’s 2022 margin. Laflamme and Parti Québécois nominee Yanick Godbout have focused attacks on mobility and CAQ delivery, while provincial polling trends show the CAQ trailing other parties overall. The short campaign window, with advance voting set for September 27–28 and nomination deadlines now closed, leaves limited time for further shifts before ballots are cast.
