Recent forecasts from numerical weather models and National Weather Service guidance cluster New York City’s peak temperature on September 13 around 77–80°F under a pattern of showers, thunderstorms, and variable cloud cover that limits solar heating. Humid air masses and light northwesterly winds have kept conditions near the long-term Central Park average high of 77.5°F, with no strong high-pressure ridge or heat advection to push readings higher. Afternoon observations near 72–75°F amid ongoing precipitation reinforce the outlook that the day’s maximum will fall in the 78–81°F range, aligning with the market’s dominant implied probabilities in those bands. Updated model runs through the evening will provide the final data for resolution.
