Recent National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus point to a high temperature in the upper 70s for Chicago on September 10, driven by northerly winds behind a passing cold front that limits daytime heating and increases cloud cover. This setup follows several days of above-normal readings in the mid-80s to low 90s, with current guidance showing a peak near 75–79°F under partly to mostly cloudy skies and light precipitation chances. Historical averages for the date sit near 78°F, providing context for why trader-implied odds cluster tightly on the 76–79°F bins. Updated short-range model runs and any late adjustments from the Chicago-O’Hare observing site will refine the exact maximum before resolution.
