Brian Thomas Jr. enters the 2026 NFL season as a bounce-back candidate for Jacksonville after a disappointing 2025 that featured just two receiving touchdowns in 14 games following his explosive rookie output of 10 scores. The 23-year-old wideout has shown improved chemistry with quarterback Trevor Lawrence during offseason work and is expected to operate primarily as the X receiver on vertical routes in Liam Coen’s offense. A crowded receiving corps that includes Jakobi Meyers, Parker Washington, and Travis Hunter creates target uncertainty and could cap volume, though Thomas’s speed and deep-threat profile offer realistic touchdown upside if he secures consistent red-zone opportunities. He enters Week 1 fully healthy after a minor shoulder issue in camp and with the Jaguars publicly committed to his development.
