Rhyne Howard's commanding lead in steals per game, fueled by consistent defensive activity and high minutes as a starting guard for the Atlanta Dream across 39 games, drives the market's heavy consensus around her 95.8% implied probability. She has maintained a roughly 2.3–2.4 rate while teammates like Jordin Canada sit well behind at 1.9, reflecting Howard's perimeter disruption, steal percentage metrics, and sustained form through late August. Late-season injury absences, a sharp surge from pursuers in final games, or tiebreakers based on games played represent the primary variables that could realistically shift the outcome before official WNBA leaderboard qualification.
