The Big 12 entering 2026 features exceptional quarterback depth and parity, with experienced starters and high-volume transfers such as Noah Fifita, Drew Mestemaker, Devon Dampier, Conner Weigman, Bear Bachmeier, and DJ Lagway all operating in pass-oriented or up-tempo schemes across competitive offenses. Early-season team passing numbers reflect this balance, as Arizona State, Baylor, Utah, and others have distributed production without a clear statistical frontrunner emerging through the first two weeks. Factors including offensive line stability, receiver talent, schedule strength, and injury resilience further level the field for total passing yards, preventing any single signal-caller from separating in the consensus view reflected by current market pricing.
