Persistent Atlantic low-pressure systems and southerly winds are sustaining above-normal temperatures across southern Finland, keeping Helsinki's September 26 overnight minimum forecast near 12–13 °C according to the latest ECMWF and GFS runs. This mild maritime flow has held the market-implied probability of a sub-7 °C low near 50 % while also capping the chance of a 16 °C-or-higher reading at 49 %, reflecting genuine model spread on whether a transient northerly shift can arrive before dawn. Historical climatology places the typical low around 8 °C, so current guidance sits well above baseline; traders are therefore weighting the next 48-hour model updates and any rapid changes in 850 hPa thickness that could tip the balance toward either cooler or warmer resolution.
