This market will resolve to "Yes" if Israel announces it has withdrawn all ground forces from Lebanon by the specified date, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". For this market to resolve to "Yes" it is sufficient that Israel announces its ground forces have withdrawn from all Lebanese territory, regardless of if some Lebanese territory remains under their control or ground incursions by Israeli forces continue. However, an announcement of a planned or future withdrawal will not suffice. The Shebaa Farms area is considered Israeli territory for the purposes of this market and will not be considered toward its resolution. The primary resolution source for this market will be information from the Israeli government, however an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting confirming that Israel has withdrawn may also be used.A U.S.-brokered framework agreement signed June 26, 2026, conditions any Israeli redeployment from southern Lebanon on verifiable Hezbollah disarmament and Lebanese Armed Forces deployment across pilot zones, with further steps sequenced through a trilateral military coordination group rather than fixed timelines. Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Katz, have described the limited pullback from two small areas as non-binding on the broader security zone and signaled preparations for an extended presence until threats are eliminated. Hezbollah leaders rejected the deal outright as a surrender, vowing continued resistance, while implementation of even the initial zones has faced reported delays of several weeks amid coordination challenges. These elements tie market resolution probabilities to measurable progress on disarmament and LAF control rather than diplomatic announcements alone, with upcoming verification steps or renewed clashes serving as key near-term catalysts.
