The 2026 Bratislava mayoral election is currently scheduled to be held on October 24, 2026. This market will resolve according to the candidate who becomes the next Mayor of Bratislava as a result of this election. Temporary, interim, or placeholder mayors appointed before the election will not be considered. If the result of this election isn't known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other". This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results as reported by government sources of Bratislava, Bratislava Region and Slovakia, including the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic (https://volby.statistics.sk/).Matúš Vallo, the incumbent mayor backed by Team Bratislava along with PS, SaS, and the Democrats, holds an 87.5% implied probability as the clear frontrunner in the October 24 municipal election. Recent SANEP and other mid-2026 surveys placed him well ahead with roughly 37–41% support in a multi-candidate field, reflecting his established record on urban development, public transport, and eurofund absorption. Challenger Jozef Ráž, the transport minister running as an independent with Smer backing, trails at around 4%, while Martin Winkler, Dana Čahojová (who withdrew in early September), Miroslav Heredoš, Zuzana Šubová, and Ľubomír Geci each register low single-digit or sub-1% trader prices consistent with limited polling visibility and narrower bases. The wide gap mirrors Bratislava’s recent electoral patterns favoring the center-right/liberal coalition incumbent over national-government-aligned or independent alternatives.
