Primary drivers include Q2 results showing $883 million revenue (down 44% year-over-year) with a widened net loss, offset by sequential gains in acquisition contracts, contribution margin expansion, and cost reductions per deal. Management reiterated a path to adjusted net income positivity by year-end 2026 without requiring housing market recovery, supported by a $440 million 0% convertible notes raise paired with a 5% share repurchase. Recent launch of Opendoor Home Loans beyond beta adds mortgage integration upside, though analyst consensus remains Hold with a median price target around $4.50. Broader factors include mortgage rates, housing inventory trends, and macroeconomic data releases that could influence near-term trading around current levels.
