Cardi B and Kehlani’s “Safe” holds a commanding lead in the VMA Best Hip-Hop market at 72% implied probability, driven by its polished music video release alongside Cardi’s 2025 album *Am I the Drama?*, strong rhythmic radio traction, and positive industry buzz positioning it as the emotional standout in a stacked field. The Sept. 27 ceremony in Los Angeles, hosted by Snoop Dogg, looms as the immediate catalyst, with fan voting still open. Megan Thee Stallion’s “Lover Girl” sits at 27% on the strength of her consistent VMA presence and Houston-centric narrative, while Drake’s “Janice STFU” trails at 13% amid broader competition. Tyler, the Creator, Don Toliver, and Travis Scott round out the nominees with lower odds reflecting less momentum in recent tracking. Historical VMA voting often rewards high-visibility videos and crossover appeal in this category.
