The first round of the 2026 midterm Georgia Governor election will be held on November 3, 2026. A candidate may win the election “outright” in the first round by winning more than 50% of the valid votes in the first round. This market will resolve to “Yes” if any candidate wins the 2026 midterm Georgia Governor election outright in the first round. Otherwise, it will resolve to “No”. If the results of the first round of the specified election are not known definitively by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "No". This market will resolve based on the results of this election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the Georgia Governor election.**Recent polling shows the 2026 Georgia gubernatorial race between Republican nominee Rick Jackson and Democratic nominee Keisha Lance Bottoms locked in a tight contest, with recent surveys placing Jackson at 48% and Bottoms at 45% (Rasmussen Reports, mid-September 2026) and aggregates hovering near even.** Both candidates secured their party nominations after contested primaries and a Republican runoff in June, consolidating support within their bases ahead of the November 3 general election. Georgia law requires a majority (>50%) for an outright win on election day; otherwise, a December 1 runoff occurs. Trader consensus at 93.3% for an outright winner reflects the low expected share for third-party or undecided voters in this polarized matchup, making it probable that the leader will clear 50% even in a close race. Forecasters rate the contest a toss-up, with no major late-breaking developments reported that would fragment the vote or trigger a runoff scenario. Upcoming events such as the scheduled October 6 debate could still influence margins, but current conditions point to a decisive first-round result.
