This market will resolve according to the winner of the 2026 midterm Michigan U.S. Senate election, inclusive of any run-offs. A candidate shall be considered to represent a party in the event that he or she is the nominee of the party in question. Candidates other than the Democratic or Republican nominee (e.g., Greens, Libertarian, independent) may be added at a later date. Candidates who run as independents will not be encompassed by the “Democrat” or “Republican” options regardless of any affiliation they may have with the party. The resolution source for this market is the Associated Press, Fox News, and NBC. This market will resolve once all three sources call the race for the same candidate. If all three sources haven’t called the race in this state for the same candidate, this market will resolve based on the official certification.Abdul El-Sayed leads the 2026 Michigan Senate race in trader pricing after securing the Democratic nomination in a narrow August primary victory over Rep. Haley Stevens, following Mallory McMorrow’s withdrawal. The open seat, vacated by retiring Sen. Gary Peters, sits in a state narrowly carried by Donald Trump in 2024 and remains rated a toss-up by most forecasters. Recent polling aggregates show El-Sayed ahead by 1–3 points, though individual surveys fluctuate near statistical ties. Mike Rogers, the unopposed Republican nominee and 2024 Senate candidate, benefits from strong cash reserves but faces headwinds from a September 12 public break by Tucker Carlson, who criticized Rogers on foreign policy grounds and endorsed El-Sayed instead. This intra-party division, combined with the race’s competitive fundamentals and voter turnout patterns in battleground Michigan, shapes current market positioning ahead of the November 3 election.
