NDP leads trader pricing at 68.5% for the British Columbia general election winner, ahead of Conservatives at 31%, with minor parties near zero. Premier David Eby called a snap election on September 22 for October 24, catching the opposition amid leadership turnover after Kerry-Lynne Findlay’s resignation and interim Conservative leadership under Lorne Doerkson, alongside CentreBC and OneBC realignments. Recent polls from Liaison Strategies, Angus Reid, and Ipsos show the NDP holding a narrow 41-36% or 41-37% edge among decided voters as the campaign opens, though half of respondents view the province’s direction negatively. Regional splits and low enthusiasm for the incumbent keep Conservatives competitive despite the current polling gap.
