A general election is scheduled to be held in New Zealand on November 7, 2026. This market will resolve according to the number of seats won by the Labour Party in the New Zealand House of Representatives as a result of this election. If the results of this election are not definitively known by October 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket. This market’s resolution will be based solely on the number of seats won by the Labour Party in this election. This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as published by the New Zealand Electoral Commission (https://elections.nz/).Recent polling averages place Labour’s projected seat total in the mid-30s under New Zealand’s MMP system, with party vote shares hovering near 29-30 percent in September surveys. This keeps the 35-39 seat band the narrow market leader while the 30-34 range remains competitive. Volatility stems from historically low combined support for the two largest parties, gains by the Opportunities Party and Greens that fragment the left vote, and ongoing uncertainty over coalition viability with those partners. National’s own seat projections and ACT–NZ First performance further compress Labour’s upside. With the November 7 election seven weeks away, final campaign momentum, turnout among undecided voters, and minor-party thresholds will determine whether Labour’s tally separates upward or downward from the current cluster.
