Rome Odunze enters the 2026 regular season with elevated target opportunities in the Chicago Bears' passing game after DJ Moore's offseason trade, positioning the third-year wide receiver as a primary downfield option alongside Luther Burden and tight end Colston Loveland. Odunze posted a strong early 2025 stretch with five receiving touchdowns in the first four games before a foot injury limited him to 12 contests and six total scores. He has reported full health from that issue entering training camp under new head coach Ben Johnson, though a calf concern restricted his Week 1 snaps to 48 percent in a high-scoring win over Carolina. Projections from analysts like Mike Clay anticipate a bounce-back to roughly eight touchdowns on increased volume, supported by his contested-catch ability and red-zone usage, while the run-oriented scheme and competition for targets remain key variables in total scoring output.
