Emeka Egbuka enters his second NFL season as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ primary wide receiver following Mike Evans’ departure in free agency, positioning him for elevated target volume and red-zone work in Baker Mayfield’s offense. As a 2025 rookie he posted 63 receptions for 938 yards and six touchdowns across 17 games, with five of those scores coming in the first five weeks before hamstring and efficiency issues limited later production. A preseason toe sprain raised availability concerns, yet Egbuka practiced fully and delivered five catches for 63 yards in Week 1 without a touchdown. Supporting cast members including Chris Godwin, Jalen McMillan, and rookie Ted Hurst will compete for looks, while the 2026 schedule and Mayfield’s accuracy will influence Egbuka’s touchdown opportunities over the full regular season.
