Michael Pittman Jr. enters the 2026 NFL season with the Pittsburgh Steelers after a March trade from the Colts, where his $29 million cap hit prompted a salary-dump deal. He signed a three-year extension with Pittsburgh and joins DK Metcalf in the receiving corps under Mike McCarthy, with Aaron Rodgers expected at quarterback. Pittman posted seven receiving touchdowns in 2025 despite a late drop-off tied to Daniel Jones’s Achilles injury, finishing with 80 receptions for 784 yards. A training-camp hamstring issue sidelined him briefly, but he is cleared for the Week 1 opener. His role as a reliable possession receiver in a short-to-intermediate scheme, plus target competition and Rodgers’ preference for veteran routes, shapes expectations for his full-season touchdown total.
