Vice President JD Vance continues in office amid active involvement in administration priorities, including leading U.S. delegation efforts in April 2026 Iran-related ceasefire talks and chairing a fraud oversight task force established by executive order. President Trump has shifted private commentary toward Vance as a preferred successor figure over alternatives such as Secretary of State Marco Rubio, while Vance focuses on midterm election support and defers personal 2028 decisions until after November. No official announcements, Senate actions, or credible reports indicate resignation, removal, or replacement. Trader consensus on related prediction markets assigns low probability to departure by year-end 2026, reflecting Vance’s institutional role and alignment with the administration ahead of potential post-midterm positioning.

An announcement of Vance's resignation/removal before this market's end date will immediately resolve this market to "Yes", regardless of when the announced resignation/removal goes into effect.
If the specified individual is detained, effectively removed from the specified position, or otherwise permanently prevented from fulfilling the duties of the specified position within this market’s timeframe, it will qualify for a “Yes” resolution.
The resolution source for this market will be official information from JD Vance and the government of the United States; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
