Recent polling averages position the CAQ as the clear second-place contender behind the leading Parti Québécois ahead of the October 5 election, reflecting its rebound under Premier Christine Fréchette from earlier lows. The CAQ has gained ground on economic management, U.S. trade concerns, and support outside Montreal, while the PLQ has slipped and the PQ holds a narrow lead. Seat projections indicate tight races between the CAQ and PQ in many ridings, reinforcing the implied probability reflected in current market pricing. Other parties trail further back in both vote intention and projected standings.
