The resolution source for this market will be official information from MLB; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Luis Arraez holds the clearest edge in the MLB batting average race due to his season-long consistency at .318, built on elite contact rates, minimal strikeouts, and steady production across 138 games split between the Giants and Phillies. Yordan Alvarez sits second at .312 but trails noticeably despite strong power numbers, while Otto Lopez, Yandy Díaz, and Freddie Freeman remain distant challengers in the .300-.305 range. Recent form shows Arraez sustaining his lead into early September without major slumps, as the shortened remaining schedule limits opportunities for significant shifts. Trader pricing reflects this established gap and Arraez's proven ability to protect averages late in the year.
