Jameson Williams enters the 2026 NFL season as the Detroit Lions’ primary deep threat and No. 2 wide receiver behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, operating in an offense coordinated by first-year play-caller Drew Petzing. After posting seven receiving touchdowns in each of the prior two campaigns while exceeding 1,000 yards both years, Williams opened 2026 with a subpar Week 1 performance against the Saints (4 receptions for 45 yards on nine targets, multiple drops), though head coach Dan Campbell expressed no concern following Williams’ standout training camp. The Lions’ crowded passing attack—featuring St. Brown, tight end Sam LaPorta, and running back Jahmyr Gibbs—along with Williams’ established big-play profile and red-zone usage will shape his touchdown opportunities across the 17-game schedule.
