Emeka Egbuka enters his second NFL season as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ clear No. 1 wide receiver following Mike Evans’ departure, positioning him for elevated target volume in an offense led by Baker Mayfield. After a 2025 rookie campaign of 63 receptions for 938 yards and six touchdowns, Egbuka has opened 2026 with eight catches for 79 yards and one score through two games despite the team’s 0-2 start. A mid-August toe injury that limited preseason work resolved fully by Week 1, allowing consistent participation. The upcoming schedule includes a Week 3 home matchup against Minnesota and a stretch featuring multiple primetime and divisional contests, where consistent health and red-zone usage will influence his season-long receiving yardage trajectory amid questions about overall offensive efficiency.
