Emeka Egbuka enters his second NFL season as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ primary wide receiver after Mike Evans departed in free agency. As a 2025 first-round pick, he posted 63 receptions for 938 yards and six touchdowns in 17 games despite a slow finish marked by drops and a hamstring issue. With Baker Mayfield under center and limited proven depth behind him—Chris Godwin, a recovering Jalen McMillan, and rookie Ted Hurst—Egbuka projects for elevated target volume in Zac Robinson’s offense. A toe sprain sustained in August camp sidelined him from early preseason work, but full participation in the final Week 1 preparations cleared him for the opener at Cincinnati. His ability to sustain health and convert red-zone opportunities will largely determine touchdown totals in a crowded receiving room.
