Dalton Eatherly, known online as Chud the Builder, faces multiple felony charges including attempted criminal homicide stemming from a May 13, 2026, shooting outside the Montgomery County Courthouse in Clarksville, Tennessee, where he allegedly fired at Joshua Fox during a confrontation. The case remains in pre-trial proceedings as of early September 2026, with Eatherly released on a $1 million bond under curfew and monitoring conditions after earlier revocation in related Nashville matters. Court records show his defense has pursued dismissal motions and highlighted self-defense claims, while prosecutors have emphasized firearm use and prior conduct evidence. Grand jury reviews and preliminary hearings have advanced the case without a trial date or plea resolution yet, leaving conviction dependent on upcoming evidentiary rulings, witness testimony, and jury assessment of intent versus justification. Trader consensus reflected in the 91% probability for no conviction aligns with the extended timeline and unresolved procedural factors in Tennessee felony proceedings.
