Recent polls from Léger and Pallas Data through early September show the Parti libéral du Québec holding steady near 20-22% popular support amid a broader campaign deadlock, with the Parti Québécois leading overall and the Coalition Avenir Québec rebounding in key regions outside Montreal. This positioning under leader Charles Milliard supports trader consensus around 28-31 seats, reflecting the party's traditional strength in urban ridings offset by weaker performance elsewhere and competition from the Parti conservateur du Québec in the Capitale-Nationale. High voter desire for change and solidified preferences ahead of the October 5 vote have limited recent movement, while first-past-the-post dynamics and tight three-way contests in suburban and rural districts keep the seat range narrow. Upcoming leader debates and final regional shifts could adjust outcomes within the projected band.
