This market's resolution source will be Silver Bulletin' approval rating poll aggregator, https://www.natesilver.net/p/trump-approval-ratings-nate-silver-bulletin, specifically the approval rating indicated by the green trend line for the resolution date. Persistent public concern over the ongoing U.S.-Iran conflict, which began with strikes earlier in the year and has contributed to elevated gasoline prices and broader economic strain, remains a central factor. Disapproval of the president’s handling of the economy, inflation, and cost of living has deepened, with support slipping among independents and showing modest erosion even within the Republican base. The November 2026 midterm elections, which will determine control of Congress, add immediate pressure as voters assess these issues in the final weeks of the campaign season. Recent tracking from outlets including Rasmussen, YouGov, and Focaldata/FT underscores the stability of negative sentiment heading into fall.
