This market will resolve to "Yes" if the team winning 1st place at the 2026 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2026), currently scheduled for October 15 to November 14, 2026, is a Western team. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A Western team is a team that qualified for the tournament through the LEC (Europe / EMEA), the LCS (North America), or the CBLOL (Brazil). Teams that qualified through the LCK (South Korea), the LPL (China), or the LCP (Asia-Pacific) are not Western teams. If the winner of Worlds 2026 is not determined by November 28, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the tournament is canceled or postponed past that date, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizer, Riot Games, via the LoL Esports website (https://lolesports.com). However, a consensus of credible reporting (e.g., Liquipedia at https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/World_Championship/2026) may also be used.**Eastern teams from the LCK and LPL maintain overwhelming dominance heading into Worlds 2026, driving the 88.5% implied probability against a Western winner.** Recent international results underscore this gap, including LCK squads claiming the top spots at the 2026 Esports World Cup (Dplus KIA defeating LEC’s Karmine Corp in the final) and strong showings at MSI. Regional power rankings place LCK and LPL well ahead of LEC and LCS, with Western sides posting sub-40% win rates in cross-region series over the past year. Top Western contenders such as G2, Karmine Corp, LYON, and Team Liquid have shown solid domestic form but lack the consistent depth or stylistic edge to challenge Korean and Chinese rosters in best-of-series formats. Qualification slots and seeding further highlight the mismatch, with Eastern teams historically advancing deeper regardless of bracket position. No roster changes or meta shifts have altered this established hierarchy in 2026.
