Marc-Antoine Bernier of the Coalition avenir Québec leads trader pricing at 68% in the open Louis-Hébert seat, ahead of Parti Québécois candidate Chloé Fauchon at 31.5% and lower probabilities for the Liberal, Conservative, and Québec solidaire nominees. The riding, previously held by retiring CAQ vice-premier Geneviève Guilbault, features Bernier, a longtime TVA Québec newsroom manager pursuing an EMBA, against Fauchon, a public and environmental lawyer. Provincial polls show the PQ competitive or ahead overall ahead of the October 5 vote, yet local models treat the contest as a narrow toss-up between the CAQ and PQ, with the CAQ retaining residual regional strength in Capitale-Nationale. Nomination timing, candidate profiles, and the absence of an incumbent shape the current market positioning.
