Real Madrid leads the runner-up market at 54.5% implied probability, reflecting its status as Barcelona’s clearest domestic rival in the early 2026-27 campaign. José Mourinho’s return has coincided with a strong start for the club despite one league defeat, while Kylian Mbappé and supporting attackers maintain high output. Barcelona’s perfect 5-0-0 record and +17 goal difference under Hansi Flick reinforce expectations of another title challenge, leaving Madrid positioned for second. Atlético Madrid, Real Betis, and mid-table sides trail further back in both form and historical contention for the top two, with the wisdom of crowds pricing limited realistic paths for outsiders to finish ahead of the two giants.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of LaLiga for the 2026-27 season per the rules of LaLiga (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the LaLiga; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
