Jaylen Waddle enters the 2026 season with the Denver Broncos after an offseason trade from the Dolphins, positioning him as the primary receiving option in Sean Payton’s offense alongside quarterback Bo Nix. His 2025 output of 64 receptions for 910 yards and six touchdowns in 16 games with Miami reflected a reduced role behind Tyreek Hill, but projections for Denver center on expanded targets—potentially 110-125—given his career 70% catch rate, intermediate-route efficiency, and versatility across formations. Preseason work highlighted his fit for Nix’s intermediate passing game, while camp reports noted minor tightness that resolved before Week 1. The Broncos’ schedule and Waddle’s history of 1,000-yard seasons when healthy frame expectations for elevated volume in a more stable passing attack.
