Jaylen Waddle enters the 2026 season as the Denver Broncos’ primary wide receiver after an offseason trade from the Miami Dolphins, where he posted 64 receptions for 910 yards and six touchdowns in 2025. In Sean Payton’s scheme with quarterback Bo Nix, Waddle is expected to operate across formations with elevated target volume and red-zone opportunities, leveraging his speed and intermediate-route efficiency to potentially exceed his recent touchdown totals. Minor training-camp tightness has resolved, and early preseason work highlighted his fit in the passing game alongside Courtland Sutton and others. Factors such as overall offensive efficiency, competition for targets, and Waddle’s health across 17 games will shape his final receiving touchdown count.
