**Hacks** enters the final Primetime Emmys with a record 24 nominations for its fifth and final season, creating strong trader expectations for a respectable but not dominant haul. Jean Smart remains the clear frontrunner for Lead Actress in a Comedy, her fifth consecutive win in the role and potential eighth overall acting Emmy, while the show’s writing and supporting nods offer additional pathways. However, Apple TV+ newcomer *Widow’s Bay* has seized series momentum and swept most head-to-head Creative Arts categories, limiting *Hacks*’ upside beyond acting and a handful of technical or guest slots. Final-round voting closes this week ahead of the September 14 ceremony, with the market’s 58% lean toward two-to-three wins reflecting the balance between farewell sentiment and *Widow’s Bay*’s late surge.
