Liga MX clubs hold a historical edge in the CONCACAF Champions Cup, with Mexican sides claiming 20 of the prior 21 titles, and nine teams already qualified for 2027 via domestic results and Leagues Cup 2026 performance. Defending champion Toluca leads the latest Concacaf Club Rankings after also winning the Leagues Cup, joined by Tigres, Cruz Azul, Club América, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Pachuca, and León. MLS contenders such as Vancouver Whitecaps, Columbus Crew, LAFC, Nashville SC, and Inter Miami sit close in rankings and league standings, while Central American sides like Olimpia and Alajuelense add depth through regional qualification. With the tournament field still finalizing and no single standout frontrunner, trader consensus reflects a tightly bunched field where recent domestic form, aggregate standings, and cross-border matchups will shape outcomes.
