Katie Hobbs holds strong trader consensus as the likely Maricopa County winner in the 2026 Arizona governor race, reflecting her position as the Democratic incumbent seeking reelection in the state's largest and most urban county. Andy Biggs secured the Republican nomination in the July primary with over 70 percent of the vote but trails in recent statewide polling averages by roughly 7 points, with particular weakness among independents and women. Maricopa's demographic profile and voting patterns have favored Democratic candidates in recent cycles, amplifying Hobbs' edge there compared to more rural areas. No major late-breaking events have shifted the race since primary results, leaving the county outcome closely tied to broader turnout and coalition-building dynamics ahead of the November general election.
