Recent National Weather Service guidance and ensemble model runs point to overnight lows in the upper 40s to low 50s for Seattle on September 23, with the exact minimum hinging on the timing and extent of low-level cloud cover and weak onshore flow ahead of a dissipating trough. Clear or partly cloudy conditions would favor stronger radiational cooling and push readings toward or below 50°F, while persistent marine stratus or light drizzle would limit overnight drops and favor values near 52–54°F. These factors explain the near-even market split between the 64°F-or-higher and 52–53°F bins, alongside the notable probability assigned to sub-45°F outcomes if clearer skies develop. Updated model runs and NWS forecast discussions on the 22nd will provide the next key data points for traders.
