The 2026 NL playoff picture features the Brewers with the league's best record and a first-round bye after clinching the NL Central, alongside the Dodgers and Braves holding division leads with strong records entering the final weeks. Wild-card positioning remains fluid, with the Cubs and Phillies securing spots while the Padres hold a slim edge over the Diamondbacks for the final berth. In the projected bracket, NLDS matchups pit the wild-card winners against the top seeds, setting up potential NLCS contenders based on recent form, pitching depth, and head-to-head results. Late-season series, including divisional rivalries and rest advantages, along with any injury updates to key starters, will shape the Division Series outcomes and determine which clubs advance.
