Trader consensus heavily favors a 74-75°F high for Chicago on September 13, 2026, at 99.8% implied probability, driven by National Weather Service observations and model guidance showing northwest winds, increasing cloud cover, and scattered showers capping daytime warming. Current readings from O'Hare and Midway stations track in the low-to-mid 70s through midday, consistent with seasonal normals near 77°F but tempered by a post-frontal air mass. This positioning reflects real-time data from authoritative monitoring rather than long-range projections. A rapid clearing of clouds or unexpected southerly flow could push readings into the upper 70s, though such shifts appear unlikely given the established steering pattern and limited diurnal heating potential.
