DeVonta Smith enters the 2026 season as the Philadelphia Eagles’ clear No. 1 wide receiver after A.J. Brown’s June trade to New England, positioning him for a career-high target share in the passing game. Coming off 1,008 yards and 4 receiving touchdowns in 2025, Smith benefits from a new offensive coordinator in Sean Mannion and an expected rebound for the Eagles’ attack, with a favorable schedule against weaker pass defenses. However, the addition of rookie Makai Lemon, veterans like Marquise Brown and Dontayvion Wicks, plus contributions from Saquon Barkley and Dallas Goedert, could spread targets and limit red-zone opportunities in a scheme that emphasizes efficiency and the run game. A minor preseason hamstring issue appears resolved, but workload management for the 170-pound receiver remains a factor over 17 games.
